about the travelling cost,some companies might give a discount if there were quite a dew travelling together..or maybe ITV might pay... |

I think one big Meet in the middle would be better than two separate ones for North and South, otherwise people would be meeting the same ones from their own area that they'd already met. Not wishing to pour cold water on the idea, because I think it would be great, but given the problems some of us have had with organising the Gaynor Bear Relay, it could prove very difficult, especially if you have lots of organisers. Given the amount of interest in genealogy and family history that's been sparked off by TV programmes recently, it would be very good publicity if GR booked the NEC in Birmingham for it and incorporated the Society of Genealosgists' fair as well. It would be nice for them to show some involvement. However, given the state of my son and his belongings after spending days at pop festivals in fields when it's rained, I don't much fancy that sort of thing, but if you 'youngsters' want to, go ahead!
