Paul perhaps you should leave the fence here for a few days

James

James Report 29 Mar 2006 10:45

Paul, this is a nicely decorated with flowers, sanded fence, does it have planning permission for the building in wood and brick? For the sale of beverages, does it pass Building reg for the great number of person using same in the emergency, should the Police,Fire and Amblance Services be informed? these questions must be addressed for the safety of members sitting on the fence and biting their tongues. James :<)))

The Housemartins Sitting on a Fence Sitting on a fence is a man who sees no sense in fighting Sitting on a fence is a man who sees no sense at all Sitting on a fence is a man who strokes his twenty beards Sitting on a fence is a man who drink real ale But the real problem with this man Is he says he can’t when he can He’d rather not get his hands dirty He’ll still be there when he’s thirty I told myself to keep my mouth shut But I still end up saying if and but I lied to myself right from the start And I’ve just worked out that I’m falling apart Sitting on a fence Sitting on a fence is a man who looks up to his guardian Sitting on a fence is a man who swings from poll to poll Sitting on a fence is a man who sees both sides of both sides Sitting on a fence is a man who looks down on opinion But the real problem with this man Is he says he can’t when he can He’s rather not get his hands dirty He’ll still be there when he is thirty I told myself to keep my mouth shut But I still end up saying if and but I lied to myself right from the start And I’ve just worked out that I’m falling apart Sitting on a fence

Elaine... thanks.. I liked the Housemartins :o) James - its an adhoc meeting, we make the rules up as we go along.. anyway, I'm no longer sitting on the fence. I'm sitting on the sofa. we're having some building work done at work (site redevelopment) and some clever chap with a JCB went through the main power line. All very exciting it was, right outside our ofice window. Didn't see any point in staying at work, so am now 'working from home'. Honest.

Hellooooooo... came by specially to see how fence is, its a nice day here but windy, I worried about the fences foundations, do fences have foundations?

Unknown

Unknown Report 29 Mar 2006 12:17

you normally do have to have some form of fixing for the posts, they're either concreted in, or put in with some sork of bespoke metal fixing. I speak from experience after putting up some garden fences for myself and a few of my neighbours a few years ago

Sneaks in very quietly - looks around and thinks should we paint it a nice bright colour? Takes a seat and will keep my mouth / fingers very quite. Louise
