It pains me to say this but there is an awful possibility that my genes are damaged. It is a inherited genetic condition which I can't really do much about. To be certain, I could wait a few more days for more evidence to become apparent, but I don't think I want to know. So this is my dilemma. Should I shave now or see if it does indeed turn ginger :-( ? It could just be a light brown, but amongst the black it's hard to tell. Sorry, I can't type for the tears. Thanks for listening.

I've had this nagging doubt for ages now. Doctor said nothing can be done. I'm just fed up with worrying now :-(

Why would that indicate damaged genes, are they just reccessive ones showing themselves? Don't worry with so litlle evidence and then still don't worry about something over which you have no control. Gwyn

What sort of treatment are you seeking? a) To stop hair growing b) To change colour of hair that does emerge c) To make emerging hair the desired colour before appearing. Gwynne gives sound advice. Gwyn

Germaine Report 18 May 2006 09:39

Now Daniel if you want to laugh about ginger just look at my hair!!!!. Don't think a few whiskers of ginger in a beard will worry you then. Germaine x

I wouldn't be worried about a bit of carrot colored fluff on your face Dan. You could have inherited premature baldness instead.

Daniel

Daniel Report 18 May 2006 09:41

Option C. But don't get my hopes up. The pain is too much.
