It has just come to my attention that Sheila and Paul Wray cannot now come to the Meet. Sheila isn't well and because of certain allergies cannot put her health at risk... We cannot be certain that everyone will comply with not wearing perfumes of a sort, which she is allergic to.... We will all miss you being there She and Paul... Love, Anne xxx

Me, me, I am coming to Manchester!!!! I have spoken to another cousin, they are so useful bless them! and I will be making my way by very cheap train travel (Special offer £10 return from Norwich) to Manchester on Friday evening and then to the Meet on Saturday, then back to Nch on Sunday afternoon. Will be great to meet everyone from that neck of the woods and can't wait to meet my cousin at last, have never met him and only got in contact about 10 years ago. More info to be gleaned for the family tree. Anyone near E. Didsbury who could pick me up to go into Manchester on Saturday morning? Liz

Panic my daughter works Sat If her hubby is working I have one of the children if anyone has anything planned then one set of grandparents has both. OH!!! then other set turn up and say taking Joe away for the night which means I would have to have one. No thougth to me I have said I want that weekend off as it is the meet. A bit annoyed this happened last year. Seems to always happen OH can manage Joe but not baby lol plus he has 2 dogs to look after too. Anyway Mummy said well daddy will not have to work that day. Kids I thought when you got older you got rid of them. Sorry rant over. Hope to see you all there. Germaine x

Germaine...Put yer foot down lass, and learn to say NO!! I love mine to bits, but at one time they all took it for granted that mum would step into the breach at a moments notice... I put me foot down and said ' You have to book me now and will only step in if I am doing nothing'... It suits everyone now cos they think of me first....and get their bookings in the diary!!...lol Anne :)))

Germaine Report 19 Aug 2006 09:19

Yes I really should Anne trouble is I offered to have the kids if she went back to work. Mind you that was when there was one of them and though she only works 3 days i didn't expect her to work full days and in Blackpool. Your right though I should put me foot down it isn't often I go anywhere so why should I feel guilty. Amanda understands said if I have anything planned then Chris will have to tell them he can't work overtime they do ask on the last minute. Germaine x

Don't forget to add extra time for travel into the city as it will be packed to the rafters so to speak - it's Manchester Mardi Gras that weekend. Sorry we cannot be there as we are away for the weekend. Take care Paul
