Very jealous of you all going to Glenfinnan, I have just moved south having lived near there for ten years - in Arisaig - Local Hero beach is beautiful, and actually called Camusdarrach, or bay of the oak trees, except there aren't any now. The Glenfinnan rail viaduct is the one filmed in Harry Potter, and a lot of the film was made around there. When filming three years ago the Steam train set a large area of Glenfinnan on fire, causing a lot of water drops by helicopter from the loch. Yes it is very scenic, yes you will need lots of midge repellant, and probably a brolly. Ex resident |

Right troops; Table for Tuesday evening booked.. Time table: 10.30..am Myself and RDA with Mr and Mrs Pussycat, arrive at venue. 11ish Woody arrives 1202. Jane picks up Lemon,McAnne and the boy and Bear from Fort William. Dancing Sheila, not sure of you and Lassie fae Scotlands plans yet... Lunch is a buffet, easier to mingle After lunch, Daniel going up Monument and anyone else who wants to.* If they are brave and daft enough to.* After that, looks like everyone except Woody, coming back to mine.. Will get some photos on then for everyone.. Tea or stronger beverage by then. Might have to get a cake... Table booked for 7.30 in Mallaig. Walk round harbour. Back to mine for an evening of Cliff !! Probably all end on here.. Breakfast here again, Cornflakes Toast Crumpets Bacon, egg and sausage. Hangover medicine. Walk along the beach looking for shells Lunch, more food.. Bung them back on train 4ish.. Collapse in a heap... |

I hope so or you will be missing out a lot of fun..!! That'll get the landscraper in a bad mood...! I got the wrong train time table !! Got the winter one but Lemon has spotted it..! They are all here until Wednesday afternoon.. Dancing Sheila has to go back to Fort william as well, do you need two cars ? |

I'll try my best - can't be missing anything! And can't have poor landscraper getting upset, can we! I should know by Monday for sure if I can get cover for Wednesday morning, at moment it's ok but all it needs is someone to go off sick and it is end of month so should be busy. How about if I let you know on Monday night and then I could pick up Sheila and that would save taking the 2 cars? At least I have my car to myself now - I've been sharing with OH for most of the last 3 weeks and it's a mess, now I can get it cleaned! Already got the seat back the way I like it and the mirrors just right! |

Polly I'll be in FW on Monday evening. The B&B is in Banavie. No problem with transport, I'll PM you my mobile no and you can let me know whats what. Woody, happy to take a lift if you're staying. I'm looking forward to meeting you all. Getting quite excited now!! Not sure of Lassie's plans, haven't heard from her for a wee while. Will pm you with my mobile number etc. Banavie is no problem - I pass it anyway! And if Lassie is coming, the more the merrier. If she's coming and by train then we'll work something out to get everyone picked up - Jane is picking up Lemon, Anne, Dan and GB but if car is too small for another then I can pick her up. Might be better if I do go to Mallaig - Jane's not going so how do the train-hoppers get there complete with luggage. Got a big car, we'll manage! |
