Some snow but not much overnight - about an inch or so. However - from putting one message elsewhere saying it wasn't snowing at the moment - it now is - nothing heavy just the odd fluttery flake. I can see this turning into a non starter. Mags xx

Just had a message from Jan to say that the roads are gridlocked around Bristol. That may improve later, you never know but it does look as if travel by road or rail will be difficult. Please would those that were due to come let me know whether or not you are still going to be able to make it. Mags xxx

It's raining in Frome ! But it had snowed earlier. Surrounding areas look a bit grim on the TV. I could probably get to Mandy's OK at the moment but who knows what it will be like later? I will await an executive decision from those worst affected. Pat

Oh Mags, absolutely gutted! :-(( just rang Viv, trains in absolute chaos, with cancellations etc. We are both feeling sooo disappointed... And what about these lovely hand piped chocs. I was bringing, says eat before 7th May! Lol, Aarrghh!, we want to scream, last Thursday here was beautiful and sunny, can't believe it. So very sorry... sending love to any of you that get there. OHHHHHHHHH CHRIS! Our surprise guest ain't coming! I am gutted too. I understand completely. Hopefully we can catch up later in the year. IF I can get hold of EVERYONE, then it probably would be best to cancel BUT I will confirm that as soon as I can. Have e mailed you Mags. roads not good at all here. We didn't think it would be very responsible to travel on the motorways in case more comes down later. didn't want to be one of thos people yous ee on tV sitting in our car in 2 foot of snow. such a shame after all your organising and some lovely people I wanted to meet. I've now heard from Ann in Gloucester and sadly they won't be able to make it either - a very wise decision given the chaos on the roads right now. I am waiting to get confirmation from Ann Morgan that she has received my message but it looks like the lunch will be cancelled. Will confirm asap Mags xxx
