I think some of you will have noticed that I have been posting less and less on the general board of late, Sadly for myself I feel the soul has slowley drifted out of GR these past few months.. I do say, for myself, as I know many others still enjoy participating and joining in, but, for me, I think too many friends and people who’s postings I have enjoyed reading have now left. There seems for me, nothing to hold me here anymore. My research I can carry on, on other sites, of which I have been engrossing myself more and more lately. ( research not other sites) So, it is with sadness and perhaps a little defeat, I say goodbye to all the people I have laughed with, cried with and for, over the last 3 years, also the people I have met, and those I have not, but would have loved to… goodbye,farewell, you shall always remain in my thoughts and heart. To quote the late Spike Milligans sign off.. Em I know what you mean. I too have been posting less and less, it's not the same anymore. My membership runs until the beginning of August and I'll make my final decision then but at the moment it is unlikely that I'll renew.

Em Although we have had no direct contact with each other I have always enjoyed reading your postings and think of you as one of the nicer people on here. I am really sorry to read that you are leaving, but hope that you may change your mind in the not too distant future. Gerry :-))

My goodness, Em, why should you be expected to cancel/delete your membership if you decide not to participate in posting any more? I, for one, certainly don't think you should have to do that and will miss seeing you around. At least if you still have your account you still have the option of popping in. I agree with you that the boards have a different 'atmosphere' these days and I think it's difficult to know how and when to participate. I agree with Deb from Vancouver's comment on her thread too but it's hard to know what people really want from this forum anymore. Paul's sayings have been refreshing and though I've made an attempt to start a few threads, not many have participated. Presumably, seeing as the boards are still reasonably active there are enough people who are happy with how things are. Perhaps us 'oldies' have just had our day.

Em It Seems i'm not the only persom sorry to see you go from here. You have been a nice part of this site for a long time now, People will miss you, myself included. Ihave always known you to be nice and cheerful. Please think again Em and stay. Give it another go.
