goodmorning well fred if you think that spring is just round the corner could you send some over here at the moment the sun is shining and it is -13 but we are apparently in for about 15-20cm of the white stuff to-morrow just in time for my 4day trip to brampton I swear the weather gremlins are aware when I plan a few days away I hope to get away early and beat the storm so we shall see, kathleen sorry to hear about your fall hope you mend soon, to-night I am having some ladies infor tea,coffe and cake for lorraines 60th and black forrest cake blow the calories that is it for me at the moment oh to be in england now that spring is here bye dorothy

Think positive dorothy,as one woman does while driving her car in heavy traffic in byker thismorning.
She had a large sticker on the bottom of her windscreen , saying,[Beware God is coming],i thought it was another evangelist,lol,but i happened to glance again as it passed me ,and there was another sticker saying[Youv'e just missed her]i creased up, but i wouldn't fancy being her hubby[shudders at the thought.].
Hey Brenda,guess who has found a B &M ,in Newcastle, wahay,lots of cheap gear to be had.
I was on the bus when i spotted it,but when i go over to Byker to visit Morrisons,i will go to B&M first and then go on to morrisons.
Time to make the tea now,a nice chicken curry tonight ,yum yum.

Spring might be just around your corner Fred as the past few mornings here downunder Ashburon NZ have a real autumn feel about them so different from the heat just a couple weeks ago Need a bit more nice weather yet
Have harvested a huge amount of tomatoes yesterday to be turned into sauce , soup, relish, or pulp to freeze for the winter then I know theres beetroot to do
Our Runner beans have not been anywhere near as good this year but dwarf beans have done well Theres only two of us we have a large freezer and really freeze too much

Hi everyone,been busy with errands and other things the past couple of days .anyway they are all done now and I am back in work.
Sorry about the fall Kathleen ,hope you are on the mend.was it a council paving flag ,can you sue?? that seems to be the norm these days.
Slyvia hope you are feeling better,and did not have to go to the doctors
Dorothy hope you get to go on your trip,you are not having much luck are you.Weather really mild today about 11 degrees so they say ,but it will be colder by weekend but nothing said about the white stuff.
Fred,we have a B&M near us in Manchester ,they seem to be expanding,mind you, you don't get as good a bargain as they used to have.
Margaretr ,yes it feeling a bit like spring and we have a few tulips coming up so its on its way.

goodmorning it is almost 9am my time and the snow is blowing around really can't see much out of the window so I am going to wait till noon and then hopefully head down brampton is to get a mix of snow and rain so maybe things will clear, I will go the slower route down the 27 highway not the 400 it is less travelled. the 60th evening went well and the birthday lady was surprised just one piece of the black forest cake left so I sent it back with her for her husband. brenda anne called yesterday to say that her 2 daughters and herself are going to cartmel to-day how envious I was I love that place I have a enlarged picture of the village shop in my hallway all those sticky toffee puddings in that shop, plus they have a great 2nd hand book shop there. margaret have fun with all those tomatoes and the other produce, so I am going to go and pack and keep my fingers crossed that I get away at noon bye for now dorothy

Hi everyone, Have you heard about changes to some free on-line websites like Facebook? Going to be interesting whatever happens.
Dorothy you aren't throwing snowballs are you? We've got rain through to Monday next week and so its a miserable wet weekend. Mind you we do need it the ground is dry and of the farmers need it on their farms.

Hi all,
Well the visitors I should have had today phoned to say they couldn't come. A pity for all the time I spent cooking yesterday. I took a large slice of Dutch apple tart up to my neighbour so she was pleased my visitors didn't come. She came down and bought another 8 of my cards I had made. I need to keep up my stocks as her friends have been asking where she buys her cards. I don't have time to make cards in a big way though.
My aches and pains are a lot better fortunately. I have a cherry-pit cushion which I put in the microwave and put this warm cushion on my shoulder. Saved a visit to the doctor!

hi one and all well I am back in barrie it is saturday 5-30pm ,y time I arrived back 5 minutes ahead of the promised snow storm good timing on my part, I did leave early on wednesday and had a good drive down I had a great time lots of good food good friends lots of laughter, watched the obama visit to canada on the tele all in all a great visit and even got to exchange xmas gifts and have lunch to-day with another friend and no john I was not throwing snow balls, it was a good run back to-day I came on the side highway as the 400 was closed in part due to more accidnets it has been closed for the last three days at different times for different reasons but speed is usually the problem and white outs. at the moment it is pouring down snow and very poor visability. my friend had the artificial heart implanted yesterday I spoke tohim on thursday I think the is very brave but he really did not have any other recourse as a donor heart has not turned up as yet, he hopes tobe able to talk to us on monday andrew will go to toronto to see him next week now it is off to make a coffee unpack and relax hope that you all are well take care bye dorothy

Sorry you did not get your visitors sylvia ,but glad your shoulder etc are on th emend,we have a "wheat bag"which sounds like your cherry thing as it goes in the micro wave and then onto your aches and pains.
Going out for a meal with some friends shortly one is 60 on Tuesday and we can not get out then so we are going today.
Been trying to change the ink in my new printer but can't het the thing that holds the ink to stop where I can open It,will try again tomorrow as I will loose my temper shortly if I do not get it done.

Had a really lazy day which was just as well as i did not sleep at all last night,got up with an upset stomach and then just could not get back to sleep so came on here and had a little search for some names ,had a bit of luck with my dads mothers family>Went down stairs had a drink and started to read ,before I knew it ,it was 8am!
Had a little nap but got a headache so just did not do anything ,apart from cook the tea and a bit of ironing.
Having an early night as i need to do the errands etc tomorrow that i did not do today.
Good job i am not in work till wednesday,

hi brenda hope the tummy has settled down I plan on a early night I stayed up last night to watch the oscars till the end the end being after midnight and i had to get up at 7am, I had a girly day to-day I was a model for my hairdressser as she had two colour techs come out to show her a new line of products and to get my hot red hair calmed down all went well and I got a free colour and do out of it so we shall see how it goes. it was very cold to-day -20 and this pm we had quite a bit of the blowing white stuff will it ever end. I enjoyed danny boyle mentioning st marys in radcliffe in one of his speaches brought back memories,nothing much planned for the rest of the week so I may do my income tax it is tax time and get it sent in hopefully I won't owe the government any money bye for now dorothy

Good afternoon peoples lol,i issss back at last having sorted my laptop out so that i can go online any where by either wi fi ,or by mobile internet via vodaphone.
it took some getting there though ,and i was gettin' pretty p*** off before i got the connection.
The dongle was stuck into the usb port ,sitting there like a huge carbuncle and as dead as the proverbiale do do he he.
It eventually dawned on me that there must be something wrong with my programming ,lol ,so i started to go back through the files,where i fould i had ommited some files from windows office ,oooops, once i put that right i got the connection i was after,and now i could go out on a boat fishing and be on the net at the same time [might even try that in the summer].
getting stuck into the garden now ,after being at the docs this morning for my diabetic review,wahay must be doing something right because my sugar levels are staying well down.
.Time to swan off again and sort the tea out,catch you later Fred.

Have been replying to emails for a while and did not realise the time ,so do not have a long time here.
Hope the hair stays ok Dorothy and the waether calms down!!

Hi everyone,well it is dry today but I would not say that it is the mild day the weather people said we would get.!!
Not many people in this morning at work,they will all be here this afternoon no doubt when we have less staff on.

hi one and all well the sun is shining over here and it is going to be warm to-day 2 above to-morrow we are in for rain and snow mix so I think I will pop out to the shops to-day I agree brenda fred is so good on the computor I have to take his e-mail out whenever I want to delete the cookies etc. mind you it has been a good help. I am happy to say brenda that the hair is doing well I am pleased that I am back to normal. I have been checking prices on line for fares to england but still don't think I will manage it this year, I am so mad that air canada do not fly direct to manchester I don't fancy changing at london. oh well I may win the lottery and then I could fly in my own jet. it is the time of year when I do get homesick even after all these years like they say oh to be in england now that spring is here ( or at least on the way ) bye for now dorothy

hi one and all it is a very rainy evening over here and snow is on the way but at least the sun was shining hope that your evening at work was not too busy brenda, I had an e-mail from my sister to-day to say she is coming to oakville near me in sept for a wedding so we willhave achance to see each other. other than that not much news I have been waiting to hear how my friend is doing after the artificial heart implant but the hospital is not releasing any info, he has no immediate family so it is hard getting news my son was going to try and see him to-day or to-morrow it is a very closed unit and one can understand they don't want the patients exposed to infection. bye for now dorothy

Mornin' peeps,been out back this morning to look at my snowdrops and crocus while i can ,seeing that the snow is due back next week grrrrrrr,still,with any luck ,when that clears away we will have a straight run into the warmer weather[sighs hopefully].
I notice things don't look too good in Victoria again,the forcast for that state does not look good at all,everything being tinder dry yet again.
Have to go to town later this morningto post off my licence for renewal,so i had better go and do a little work lol.

Evening folks,weather a bit on the wet side today,managed to get my errands done and go and see my friend and have a cuppa with her.I will miss calling in on her when she is back in work ,she is recovering from a hand operation at moment and of sick.
Hope your friend is ok Dorothy ,good news about your sister,will she be able to stay with you ?
I noticed some of our crocus trying to come through fred ,hope the snow does not materilise and they don't get killed off.
My son is waiting to use he pc now so might be back tomorrow or later tonight any way have a nice weekend.
