Hi there girls and boys, So I am the one to be chosen to be first on the new site. I managed to get on quite quickly this evening. I had my help in the house today and the sweet girl has given me a present to take with me in the hospital which I can open after the operation. Annemie came downstairs and gave me a small present too. Time is drawing near, just two more days of waiting. See you tomorrow. Sylvia xxx |

Ok its me again - r u ready for the 2nd installment of me holiday??:o)) Whilst in NY we walked through a small part of Central Park, saw the sign 'Strawberryfiels' - this is where a man sings Beatle songs and plays guitar, people sit on the grass in the summer and sing along with him (l am told - hope l have that right!). Saw the hotel where YoKo lives, had a meal and then walked around part of the Natural History Museum - l think we would still be there now if we'd looked at everything. Whislt we were there my cousin went back to her flat to meet the maintenance man - clever me had broken her tap!!!!! or atleast l thought l had - he sorted it:o)))) When we got back to her flat she wanted to show me a picture - when l looked at it l said out loud 'thats my dad', it had been painted by my grandfather Bernard Meninsky and she had'nt realised who it was - well l'll be!!!! lol On the Friday late afternoon she wanted us to go to a Jewish service, as our backgrounds are Jewish (although l'm a right mixture!!) - well l have never felt so emotional, l sobbed! Everyone was so friendly - as we walked in the muscians singers/speakers etc were in the middle of the room (church) in robes singing and playing guitars. The music was a combination of Argentina and Israel, beautiful!! loads of people old, young etc got up and formed a circle and danced round the room, people kept joining on the end - the atmosphere was electric. My cousin was overwhelmed that l enjoyed it so much. All to soon it was time to pack and leave for Denver to meet my half sister her 3 children, half brother and my EX step mother - thats for another day though - lol Sylvia - hope your keeping busy and you take care, we'll all be thinjking of you. Fred - you mentioned the other that your visiting Anglesey - thats about 6 hrs away. Brenda - do hope your enjoying your holiday. Shame you did'nt get the info you needed at the records dept. Dorothy - hope you are ok. Anyone that l have missed - take care. Kathleen are u about - can't wait to meet you in April;o)))) jude sarf wales:o) xx |

Hi all, Well Jude I loved your story of your trip in America, but I also miss your nice stories of Madoc and Fat Cat. Only one more day for me then I'll have to wait until I get home again before I can get internet. Johan will bring my laptop computer into the hospital but then I have no internet. I am writing my life story for the grandchildren on it. Poor ol' Fred with migraine. I hope you have some good strong tablets to take for this migraine, See you tomorrow. Sylvia xxx |

I am off shooting with the son tomorrow at one of the clubs up north too see how i get on with a Berreta double barrel shotgun, but relax folks ,the birds are safe enough ,we are shooting at clays not the real thing lol. hello glad to hear you are enjoying your time off brenda it is nice to have some time off, the cat scan went well it only took about 3 minutes in and out, did not even have to get undressed as long as you had no metal at the waist or any piercings in any place below the waist!!!!!!!!! as for the car well bless it it started right away when I eventually got in it, it was surrounded by about 2 feet of snow that had frozen solid with the low temperatures we have been having, any way I crossed the supers palm with dollars and he dug me out and parked it closer to the building in the visitors lots so I will be able to drive out this afternoon and see to the grandchildren I am so looking foreward to seeing them. andrew has a flight back from ottawa at 6pm I think. sylvia I shall have you in my thoughts to-morrow many good wishes bye for now dorothy |

Brenda, so much quicker now that we have the new thread but still slips back several pages very quickly. I tried early this morning but couldn't find it, was up about 4am and couldn't get back to sleep so got up. Thought I might be able to wish Sylvia Good Luck for today before she went into hospital but would probably have been too late. Had to give up as I was feeling too stressed to concentrate properly. Hope your migraine has gone Fred, nasty things aren't they thankfully haven't had one for a while. The only thing is to lie down and rest till it passes - don't know about you but I can't do anything else as I can't stand the light. Jude, your holiday sounds so exciting and very busy. Pleased you enjoyed it. Looking forward to the meeting in April. Dorothy, hope you get some better weather soon. It sounds horrendous at the moment. Trust your back problem gets sorted soon. Off to bed again in a moment, will take a crossword and my Sudoku book with me. Sometimes I go to sleep doing one or t'other - wake up still holding my pen and with my glasses on. Goodnight & God bless Love Kathleen |

Goooood morning campers, layabouts ,and all you who have left for work from a lovely sunny Newcastle where the baird washing machine is on overdrive lol. I survived the shoot okay ,but have a lovely black bruise on my upper arm and shoulder where the shotgun kept kicking back hee hee. I think the clays won by a good margin though,as they were coming out of the trap every which way. The final score? ahem, clays 47,fred 3 .,but it was good fun,and the only thing that got hurt was one shoulder and a pair of ears. Morning to Sylvia ,i do hope she is okay ,and will be back with us shortly. Sorry to hear too that Sylvia is having problems with Norm again and hope she will at last get the help she needs, but with any sort of luck, once the weather picks up it will give him an interest again, when he can at least sit outside on the patio and watch the world go by. Cor ,much more of this lovely sun and Fred will be back to brekkie in the garden, and duties in the garden as well as housework, and this is when i have to resort to juggling to fit everything in ,lol. Not long now until we are off to the west coast of Scotland ,and a bit of fishing . Time to get my hair washed [what there is of it] lol.by the time i have tipped a couple of cupfulls over the bonce ,it's a bit like a waterfall over a rocky bed hee hee, plenty of vegetation on the sides but none in the middle. See ya later peeps, have a nice day ,Fred. |

Morning all:o) Sylvia - hope all is going well for you?? l think about you all everyday but l get caught up on the boards and then OH gets fed up cause l spend so much time on here again - then l try and sort me photo's out and get angry cause l can't - grrrrr AND THEN l get onto ebay and start bidding for a Meninsky drawing/painting - AND I WON IT. Poor Vic l spent more than l should but not too much more and it will be something to hand down to the kids one day :o))) So l won't bore you with anymore of me hols cause l'll be here for ever and ever. The cat was sick again last night, so rang the vet and she said carry on as normal, feed him and see how he is in the morning - well he's fine. BUT will keep close eye on him cause this is what happened the day we went away - he was sick half an hour before we left the house and then 2 and half weeks later very poorly. Madoc the little pickle has taken to Jimmys new bed - now this a bed that the cat can get into with about an inch all round spare and that the dogs just squeezes into - when cat was ill l left it in the hall by the heater which he loves to warm up by - the cat did'nt even sniff it!!! Its now inside madoc's old bed and he loves it, he's so cosy. It cost originally $30 was on offer for $10 so l grabbed one, well thats £5 - fortunately its very soft and squidgy so did'nt take up much room. Have to find something else for cat now - his old one get messed up at the vets. Madoc has a new collar and lead - he loves to grab his lead as we walk out the door for walks and whilst we were away he did this with abit more gusto!!!!! the collar has started to split around the eyelets - HE'S NOW IN RED!!!!!! l left a message yesterday on Gn brd about my nephew and partner being in a road traffic accident - they are both fine just achy and bruised with a couple of scratches. Spoke to them both last night. The worst bit is coming to terms with what could have happened to them - how lucky they are!! Fred - sounds like youhad a brill time, becareful though! Kath - yes, it will be great, then you can see l'm not really a plonka!! Dorothy - hope you're ok. Brenda - make the most of the last few days of your hols:o) Ok thats it now off't to do some ironing before OH files for a divorce:o((( jude sarf wales :o) |

In the last 20 mins ish l have had the dog nearly choke on a 2 inch piece of twig and Vic cut his finger with the bloomin saw!!! l came off here and looked out of the window to see Madoc pawing at his mouth frantically - l knocked the window to Vic who was in next doors garden mending both our fences and l then rushed down stairs, opened his mouth and pulled the twig out - ooooo my word what a fright. Then 10 mins later Vic comes into kitchen very quietly beside me and turns the tap on to wash his finger - its ok no stitches needed. Ok l'm off now to do the ironing 2nd attempt - l got the board up:o))) jude sarf wales xx |

hi everyone just catching up with the thread, brenda the suits sound great but if they don't fit it means that you will find something even nicer hope that you have enjoyed your break, has anyone heard how sylvia is doing does her hubby come on line at all, jude you and the cat and the dog have a very interesting time, reminds me that when I had to leave the building on sunday due to the fire(not a bad one) I was not able to put the boys (simon and sasha) in the carriers and carry them down hard enough getting my self down they were in the same place I left them when I came back very laid back cats. to-day the weather is a little warmer 2 degree's and sunny the sun and sky look like a summer day. I am feeling much better I was out yesterday to pick up some groceries the leg was a little sore but not bad, fred you have some an interesting time you really enjoy your life. to-day is march break the children are off for a week the airport expects over a 100.000 people to fly out to warmer places. bye for now dorothy |
