A wild morning here….trees down in places. They have shut the secondary school Alice attends because a fallen tree has completely blocked the main entrance :-0 :-0

Hoping it is going to calm down a bit now…..the poor people in Ireland and Scotland :-(

It is starting to calm down a bit here now :-)

No power cuts which is a bonus….off to make a cuppa and have some lunch :-)

We had a power cut about 1am lasted about 2 hours.

Good to see you all safely reporting in, especially where conditions are extreme.

I first heard the wind really picking up about 4 a.m then the rain came too.

It's eased now and the sun tried to make an appearance for a while, but the wind is expected to pick up again later, especially near the coast, which is not far, as the crow flies.

We still have a yellow warning, but that's nothing compared to the poor people in Ireland, Scotland and north of Wales and England.
