Yes, she is learning to test , calculate and inject :-) My other SiL's friend has just been diagnosed with Type1 and she showed her the kit that she has, very neat :-) |

I know it is simpler now with the insulin. I can remember someone injecting, and not with disposable syringes! :-( |

The little gadget they have now, you put a little blood on the machine and it calculates how much insulin is required :-) |

I have seen something advertised on tv, where there is a small monitor on the upper arm, and it is connected to an app on a phone. It detects the sugar levels. Saying that, it is not hard to finger prick once you get used to it. <3 |

Do they still prick the pad of the finger? I know they used to prick the top of the finger when I used to give blood. |

Not sure exactly what they do now :-0 I was just thinking I use my fingerprint to do my banking and other things, you'd have to make sure you use one of the other fingers for the tests :-0 |
