I must say the frozen hot water bottle worked a treat. It kept cold for a good 4 hours, enought to send me off to the Land of Nod. :-)

Had a mixed breakfast - not yer usual stuff but leftovers from last night. K never ever eats leftovers so they’re usually all mine. :-D.

Dtr is like me and son is like K so I must have gone wrong with his bringing-up somewhere along the line. :-S :-D

A whole load of Traveller caravans are in The Park :-0. Police came while I was there but as nobody in the caravans appeared to be up the Police went again :-S

Having a quiet time in after gallivanting yesterday.

Sun has it's 'full heat' switch on :-0

Doesn't sound good Belle concerning the travellers.
Some just want somewhere to stop off on their way somewhere, but others leave a trail of rubbish and distruction.

Some who stopped in a lay-by near here were outside a cemetery and threw no end of junk and household belongings over the hedge.
They planned to stay a long time and even brought their own roll of artificial grass and put it at the bottom of their caravan steps. :-S

It turned out that it was M.O.D. land and the Army got them moved on pretty smartish :-0..... and then put up a barrier with an overhead height restriction to prevent a repeat.

Afternoon Gwyn..... it's too hot to do much :-0

Something similar happened near me between the old registry office green and the Tesco car park :-0. Took them well over a week to get them off the land and the rubbish they left was unbelievable :-0 They immediately put up metal bollards spaced about three foot apart all around the green to stop it happening again, which it has :-)

Let's hope it gets sorted soon, Belle.

Sorry, you asked about Friday's meal.
Again it was very good, but the mint yohurt served with our starter samosas was a little too salty for me.
Over the years, I've cut down on added salt so much that now a normal amount of seasoning seems a lot for me.
Main meal with cod was well cooked and a generous portion.
Dessert was bigger than expected, but very good.
They like feed back, so daughter said she thinks she will tell them that the desserts need not be so generous.
She had summer pudding, which could have served 2 or 3.
Only a couple more menus until the end of their term, then we will be back to more mundane meals ;-)
