I did wonder if the rain would be in your area too, when I saw umbrellas up in Downing Street.
Good for the gardens as you say.

It's looking rather gloomy, but is very warm with heavy rain expected, but clearing by late morning
Local TV news is telling of bad road conditions on the Kent western borders, because of earlier downpours, but we didn't get that.
We'll wait and see what happens here......

Ralphie's walkies was delayed due to the thunder, lightening and rain :-0. Rather than freshening it up it has gone very humid :-0

Twas warm earlier when friends and I had our Costas sitting at an outside table. I went into three shops afterwards and came out of the last one to a downpour. It’s raining even heavier now. :-(

About to sort out some lunch now.

Heavy rain started just after 9 o'clock, and went on for about half an hour, with just a couple of distant grumbles of thunder, but no storm.
Then the sun came out and it's really warm again.

Popped into town.
Sainsburys offer on Magnum was a better deal here, so we are now well stocked :-D

Elder daughter popped in with packs of marzipan, which she'd bought at vastly reduced price in Morrisons, who were obviously trying to get rid of it.
It is well in date and daughter here said she might make a cake.

Knowing our family's liking for eating marzipan straight from the packet, she'd better be quick. ;-)

It's still very warm and muggy here so decisions to be made...
Sleep with windows open for fresh air or close them to prevent early morning, sometimes before dawn wake-up call from screeching nesting seagulls.? :-S
