Can't eat things that are high in carbs and I don't have salt on my food. I know what the manufacturers are up to - adding more sugar or sweetener to the sweets/chocolates as the salt takes away the excessive taste of the sweetness

Armed Forces day today - according to one of our news programmes.

Just read back through yesterday’s thread. Dad was in the RN before, during and a little after WW2 and saw plenty of action.

I was a war baby born in Liverpool, too young to recall anything but Mum sometimes spoke about horrendous times and I can certainly remember using bomb sites as shortcuts to various places.

On to cheerful things - sun is out and it looks like it could be a promising day. :-D
