Well, BHF grudgingly dismantled my table and its been taken away with the chairs.... won't be using them again :-|

It took the guys less than 5 minutes shorter than the time they were arguing the toss :-0

You would never have thought that I was the one donating :-P

On the plus side the sun is shining :-D

I can sympathise with you. A few years back we wanted to donate three display units, perfect condition but we were fed up with them. They turned up, and said they wasnt popular, so they didnt want them!

Phoned another, they turned up, took them and were very grateful.

They were going to take the chairs and said once the table was dismantled to phone and rebook a slot :-0. So it was when I told then to leave the chairs as I wouldn't be rebooking with BHF I'd go to another charity, that they seemed to change their mind :-D

My SiL had a similar problem with BHF as you but went to Sue Ryder who were only too pleased to receive their cabinet :-0 :-)

Belle you know what to do in future. We have a charity here that collects furniture to

give to people who have been homeless and have now been given unfurnished

accommodation. They are always grateful as long as suitable fire regs labels are still

intact. Course it’s only upholstered stuff that has that anyway.

As to the answer to the question about the stick sorry but I can’t divulge that information ;-) ;-) ;-)

Belle, I too know someone who was disappointed with BHF attitude, when she wanted to donate some really nice furniture and home items. They came, picked over what they wanted and left the rest in a heap.

Been out in the fresh air all day on a school trip to the County Showground near Maidstone.
Pity anyone in Kent who wanted to book a coach for today. Most of them from all over Kent were up there with all the Years 3 and 4.

Interesting day and the children enjoyed it.
I think I might sleep well ;-)

There is to be a big celebration Eid-al-Fitr at Trafalgar Square on Saturday to mark the end of Ramadam. So maybe we will hear fireworks that night.
