I am going to trot across to Dtr’s later but it will be head down, hood up.

No footy for Gndson 2 this weekend - 2 team members have broken bones and 2 have covid. Gndson turned 14 two months ago and Dtr was telling me how physical the lads were getting as they get older - and one broken bone case was a football injury.

He’s better off sticking with his guitar, says I.

Gndson 2 has been OK so far, thank goodness but I do recall Gndson 1 being blue-lighted to the hospital from the footy pitch. :-0

He still plays - and enjoys it. :-D

No rain today so far, we have had more than enough of it over the past 5 days.

I have been trying to sweep up the mounds of leaves from the garden this morning but it's not easy, most of them are stuck to the concrete paths the various flagstones & the gravelled areas, however the wind is getting up so maybe it will dry up the leaves & make things easier for me to get them up!

Hmmm, a little on the damp side here. :-D Coming down so hard I cannot see to the end of the road. The guttering on the house opposite cannot cope with it, and there will be an extra shower for anyone walking by. :-(

Wild, whistling wind here..and wet.

Yesterday was better than forecast and we had a great family day when nephew, his wife and family visited.
Some even went for a walk in the afternoon collecting chestnuts, which were later roasted.
