Whether the Taliban would allow it to happen is a detail I really could not comment upon.

The thing is, Sharron, that you never know whether the Taliban has allowed filming to take place with the express intent of adding to its coffers because they aren’t averse to using people and situations in perverse ways.

I haven’t seen any filming since seeing that about families selling their children to keep their heads above water for a short while but we may never know whether there was a blip in the Taliban’s shield that allowed the family to be filmed or whether the western reporters realised that they were possibly being used.

Sadness seems too be growing in the world at the moment.

Apart from the pandemic, Sharron, it is sad to see that part of the world sinking back into old practices that subjugate women and abduct children into its ranks. In fact, it never really stopped doing that, rather it was likely curtailed a little for several years.
