I would most definitely not get in the car but would go to the nearest police station that day or the next day, assuming they aren't all closed, we don't have one near us so would phone the nearest one and ask them to come to my house and arrest me then again assuming there are police available to do a home visit. :-( |

My nearest main police station is not the station that covers where I live. I would not be able to find that one. |

My belief is that most of the police cover for each other when there is a wrong doing what ever it is, it is wrong and that is an understatement, the higher their rank the worse it is, in my opinion anyway. |
