Never heard of anyone doing that, Gwyn. Always salt and vinegar for me - one of the few things I add salt to. My BP is always low so I only started adding salt on my plate to lift it without having to resort to the horrible salt tablets one doc prescribed for me! |

Allan .................. Kanga steaks were apparently a staple food in the Australian "residential schools" that Islanders attended. One of the faculty wives that I was particularly friendly with back in 75/76 had attended one, and said she couldn't face kanga steak ever again!! |

Cockles seem not to be as good as they were.Saturday morning Dad used to get cockles from Macfisheries and we would eat them dowsed in vinegar and black pepper. Nowadays they just seem watery so now just give me a bowl of mussels. |
