Good to see you here Shirley.
Lovely that you have company, while you recover from your op.

I hope you make steady progress and your mobility improves day by day.

I’d read about not being able to kneel so started kneeling on my bed first.

I can now kneel but it is not comfortable especially for my ‘real’ knee.

I can't kneel on my replacement knees either, but it depends on the type of prosthetic used. My hubby had both of his knees replaced three years later than me in 2011 and his are made of different material to mine and he can kneel on his.

My brother had both his knees done a few years ago - the damage to them was mainly caused by motobike accidents.
He still rides his motorbikes. :-\

The only thing he can't do, is kneel! :-D :-D

As Florence says - little steps each day. Even on a really bad day try and do some of the exercises.

Your body has been having to cope with what you were previously able to and now has a huge job of relearning. Don’t get disheartened - you will get there.

Best wishes Shirley and everyone says how important the exercises are. I am waiting for 2 knee replacements since 2 years ago with trying to lose weight in the meantime as the operation has a better result then according to the surgeon. I don't like the sound of the morphine though! I had a hysterectomy and both ovaries removed 18 years ago and they gave me a morphine pump to press and I managed without it. I'd had endometriosis for many years and decided that pain was far worse. I look forward to hearing how you get on, as although I can't stand for more than quarter of an hour now or walk for much longer, I'm not looking forward to it.

Shirley so pleased to hear you are home. Good luck with the exercises.

I’m sure with all the TLC you are being given by your grand daughter it won’t be long before you are on the mend. <3

You'll be surprised at how much you will improve in just a few weeks now your clips are out. You'll soon be in and out of the shower on your own. I found (and still use) one of those net type of sponges on a long handle. Great for reaching your feet and lower legs without too much bending. <3

Welcome back Shirley and keep on with the exercises even when they hurt like hell <3. I have both knees with total knee ops so my Grandchildren call me Bionic Nanna after my daughter called me it :-D :-D.
Morphine made me bad too and I kept having hallucinations really weird.
Take care <3
