RIP, you worked hard for the Queen - a strong man who knew when to play 2nd fiddle, even though he often made comments he should have kept to himself.

Pity he didn't make 100.

Prince Phillip is said to have asked for a no fuss funeral.

It would seem that he will get his wish, albeit due to the pandemic. Hopefully in time there will be a full memorial service for him.

Oh how sad. The queen will be devastated, even though it is not unexpected she is going to miss him so much. My thoughts are with her and the family who have lost their father, grandfather and great grandfather. Yes he was always blunt but he was caring as well and, of course much loved by his family. R,I.P

When he was in hospital I read that he'd said he didn't want a funeral but wanted to be put on the back of a Land Rover and taken to Windsor to be buried. They should respect his wishes. I assume COVID rules apply to everyone, royalty included.
