The two public toilets in two nearby towns were open for 10 hours every day and had two cleaners, one in each, they were there for the whole 10 hours and kept them spic and span, then the staff were made redundant, a 20p charged to use them, they are cleaned once a day, are filthy the toilet paper runs out or is stolen. So where is the sense in that? |

Our local district council decided to close all the loos, As we are a tourist town with lots of coaches visiting, the town council took over running the loos. They were closed for a time at the start of the lockdown, but are open again now. |

The grand old French tradition, often referred to by BoJo, of using the wall has been overtaken by modern self cleaning loos on the streets - there are several hundred in Paris. |

The tendency in Canada is for there not to be public toilets as in purpose built ones operated by the council. |

I have only been to Ireland once and spent half my time with my legs crossed which I did not enjoy at all until somebody told me that it is usual to go in the pub to use the lavatory without necessarily having to buy a drink. |

At one time, Camden had many offices and other buildings, where the public could go in and use their toilet facilities. |

Look, Dermot, I am English. I am not able go into a pub and not buy anything. You don't think I would just go in for a tiddle do you? |

Most of our village toilet blocks vanished well before the cuts to council budgets and it was due mostly to the increasing cost of vandalism. They are closed at the non league footie grounds OH goes to as well, so it's lucky most have plenty of bushes handy! |

These days, it's difficult to even spend a penny. Don't forget to 'flush'. |

Also, when using a cubicle, don't forget to put the lid down before you flush! :-) |

Also, don’t linger in those self cleaning loos. They wait for no man - or woman. |
