Not a bad day here weatherwise so far.


J is improving slowly.
He's getting over the chest infection now he's on stronger antibiotics.
He had a Covid test to be on the safe side and it came back negative.

He's speaking quite clearly. Sometimes it doesn't quite make sense but often it does. He can use the side of his body that was affected by the stroke, but of course it's weak still.

He's being transferred to our local Hospital today which means he is getting better but it does mean we won't be able to visit him unfortunately.

I have given him all your best wishes and he seems to understand.

Jem, that is really good news. The 'frozen mouth' thing with his speech will, I think, improve. Speech therapy will help. The fact that he can use the side of his body affected by the stroke is brilliant news for him and for your family. Again, physio will help with his strength.

(I am speaking from the same position that you are in now but back in 2006.)

Will you be able to see him through hospital windows or is the hospital a multi-storey building?

You will, however be able to see each other via skype or one of the other sources. Even if it is not immediately.

I am happy for you both and for your family as the outcome and outlook is good for your OH.
