RTR I can look up the history of radio all by myself, thanks, without personal views thrown in, as I'm sure they were, so didn't bother reading your epistle.
I only read your final 'point' - if this is the case, why are you constantly whingeing about not being able to listen to - or, apparently in your 'special' case, watch, things on the radio?

I do not much listen to the radio one reason being my life does not very well hook up with radio or TV schedules. Thus I rely on catch up of one sort and another. Having once made a radio item available on line I can see no reason to remove it.

I have always disliked radio/TV left on all day as a media wallpaper. My OH is like minded.

Why did you feel the need to spout of half a page of presumption disguised as 'fact' on something you have now admitted you don't listen to, and obviously know little about.
It just makes you look condescending and stupid.
