My Yanchep friend is fine, Allan. She contacted me this morning to say that it was rainy, cold and windy but only to be expected at this time of year but she knew it was worse for those living south of Perth particularly. |

Pat, we are 160 km south of Perth near the Leschenault inlet, or estuary. This has been wild but is protected from the Indian Ocean by a narrow spit of sand hills so there has not been the same degree of inundation as in Perth where the Swan River discharges directly into the Indian Ocean. |

Allan, just heard from Secret Harvour. They were away in the caravan inland when they heard the storm was heading for the western areas. They decided to head further inland and hunker down until it had passed as they had plenty of supplies with them. |
