David in my opinion sometimes the strength of a state of mind can overcome, say, pain or other irritations. sometimes if an anxiety state is not severe (in itself a state of mind) positive thinking and a generally positive nature can overcome it. However many 'states of mind' including severe depression such as Bipolar are caused I believe by a chemical reaction in the mind/body so, although when taking medication a good state of mind helps, the medication is required. |
