Idid wonder about the grandchildren sue. they must have found it all very hard. So, good that they have been able to visit. A difficult time made even more difficult by the virus. Stay strong Sue, thinking of you <3 <3 |

At the moment many are living in their own little bubble, oblivious to how life is affecting others. |

Mr Owl and I had to leave the house for a long drive today as it was grandma’s funeral in Slough. 800 miles in a day is no fun but necessary as he wanted to say goodbye. There was only four of us and social distance was maintained. |

Yes basically the same in Canada. Quebec are even banning trips into Quebec from Ontario unless essential. No one is being checked by the police to see if they're driving only to the store but that said the roads are basically empty compared to normal...so yes some people will drive a bit further to take their dogs for a walk. My dog is content with numerous long walks locally just keep trying to mix them up a bit to keep us both awake :-D |

Similar to WA. All land borders with other States (NT and SA) are now closed to everybody, with a few exceptions, even West Australians. |

I think it's the same here too, Sylvia and Caroline. |

Travel for a funeral was the other exemption here but I expect they didn’t think people would drive 400 miles each way. Having said goodbye to grandma neither Mr Owl or myself have any intention of travelling that far again till this is over. Including a trip to the supermarket we hadn’t left a mile and a half radius of our house since this started. No meeting other households either unless you count our downstairs neighbours two year old granddaughter when she spotted one of cats hanging out the flat window. Yesterday it was a case of just waving at people. |

It's good that you got back safely, Tawny, and I believe you're right in stating that the authorities did not anticipate such long journeys to attend funerals. |

My husband and I have both had the virus. A neighbour who works in A&E was in our house one day and tested positive the next. I had it three days later and my husband two days after that. We were both really poorly and it's taken about three weeks to get over it fully. We are both over seventy but, fortunately, fit and well so we came out the other side. It really annoys me seeing our neighbours' grandchildren being taken in their house every day while their mother goes to work. They have a father at home who has never worked and won't look after his own children. The children's mother is a nurse so the children could be in school. The children are often out on our street which means people living here cannot walk outside their homes. |

Sorry to read you had the virus wouldn't be very nice for you but glad your on the mend a few Neighbours are not staying in one couple going out of the village by car to walk their dogs every day, plenty of places near here some just don't want to be asked to stay home or near home Keep well now Take Care Barbara x |

Sad to hear that you and your husband had the virus but good to hear of your recovery, Annie. It must have been an ordeal from which you could only hope, pray or both to recover from. |

Mr Owl and I are back to our bubble of supermarket and house now. We have two house cats so no issues with walkies. Our downstairs neighbour now has her son, daughter in law and granddaughter living with her in a small two bedroom flat though. They weren’t there in March. |

There could be a problem with someone being made redundant, Tawny, and not being able to pay rent. It doesn't sound like an ideal situation. |
