Only the poor can afford to have many children. |

From what I can see the two of our grandchildren who have children are enjoying the challenge and are doing all sorts of things with them. Great Granddaughter is enjoying home school so much she didn't want to stop for Easter break. Some of the things the parents come up with are really imaginative. I am sure when I was their age I would not have had the patience. |

Children are part of your family you can do so much at home baking. cooking. go through your life story with them .write a memory book read proper books to them small. household chores keeping their rooms tidy play in the garden if you have one play old fashioned games it's a bad time for all but be positive treasure every day.they can listen to music watch TV .stay safe All Barbara during normal times some parents probably won't see their children to busy working keeping up with their neighbours.they wander the streets till all hours .selfish parent's who will be in total shock now omg what do we do Plonkers. SCHOOLS SHOULD STAY SHUT !!! |

My son has 2 children, aged 7 & 2 & he is enjoying spending time with them as they only get the weekends with them, doing lots with them & I see them a couple of times on video call. As for saying schools not closing, I do school runs with my grandson & he is in an old village school, his classroom is right down the bottom, they are not thinking of us who do school runs as it is impossible to social distance untill we get in the playground. They should just enjoy them as they grow up so fast. My 2 year old grandaughter will be so grown up when I see them again. |

I'm like Sharron - didn't want any, my OH is older than me and has 3. His younger son has twin girls, aged 8, they seem to be having a good time, luckily both parents can work from home and they have a nice garden. We've always commented on their excellent parenting skills, I don't think I would have had the patience! :-D |

Some of my brownies have no grip of reality thanks to their parents. Their parents have never spent much time with their children. Most of my brownies are from property rich cash poor families in an area where a two bedroom flat is offers over £400,000. One girl when asked what she might be at Halloween answered I don’t know yet but my mummy will give me her credit card and let me buy whatever I want. Another brownie goes home to an empty house every night and has her own bus pass which she uses at weekends to go to the museum, the cinema or just into town as her parents give her money to give them peace. They throw money at them rather than time. Now isn’t any different the parents are shut in a room working from home and the children are left to do whatever they want. |

Praising children excessively can do more harm than good, especially to those with low self-esteem. (Times 03.01.14). |

My daughter has been diagnosed with the virus and sent home to recover. She lives alone, a hundred miles from us and it is a bit of a worry. She sent a text today to say that she is feeling much better at last. She at least has a circle of good friends, one of whom handed her a pizza through her window. |
