It's 7 days if you are on your own, 14 days if two plus, to see if other family members develop symptoms. |

You beat me to it Sheila. If there are several in the family and their isolation periods overlap some of them could be in isolation for quite a long while. The NHS site explains it and the BBC has a diagram on its site. |

Anyway, seven days of fourteen (OZ PM did go home to his wife and young daughter) makes no difference to the fact that he should have self-isolated according to the 'Guidelines' (Rules) laid down for the rest of us |

I think I read somewhere that here in Canada now they're not doing the 2 test after the 14 days to clear you, they're looking at your health/symptoms then deciding if it's safe to release you so to speak. It's to free up tests for the are they sick brigade. |

Same story in Oz, Caroline, exacerbated by the fact that we have had heaven knows how many cruise ships entering and disgorging thousands of passengers, may of whom have then travelled interstate. |

David, I've read somewhere that dogs, at least, have developed a type of corona virus, but there has not much been reported |

I can see how the tests are very necessary, but surely you could be tested one day and found to not be infected, then pick the virus up the next day? |

Surely there must be a danger that a pet could be carrying the virus on its fur if stroked by someone with covid-19, for some time after the event. |
