Sylvia, I've not checked prices for the following week as that is the Lodge Installation date, also my son's shift roster would not allow him to join us. |

Hope you can find something suitable to do Allan. When will you know the football fixtures, always a chance they won't affect you. |

Ann, there are still many alternatives for us. We could go to Tasmania, a place which we have visited a few times and which we really like, but the other problem is that our anniversary also falls at the end of the Australian Football league build up to the finals, and depending on who is playing domestic airfares also go through the roof. |

We did arrange our marriage to avoid August Bank Holiday, the first Monday in August then. It is now the last Monday and inevitably is in any holidays we take over our anniversary (27th). This year, being our Diamond wedding we thought we would go back to Jersey (where we spent or honeymoon and a couple of subsequent holidays). The hotels we were looking at were horrendously expensive since the last time we went ten years ago. So we are going to Lanzarote instead and compensated by going to a more up market hotel than we would usually go to there. |
