Ah, but, Pat, our street lights and Market Place tree lights look better and shine brighter because of our darker days. :-D

Twas dire when we lived in Oz - they may as well have not bothered with street Christmas lights at all. :-(

And in winter there was nothing to look forward to! :-(

Christmas Day isn't as important as January 6th out here, although 25th December is a holiday as well as the 6th.

We used to celebrate four times. :-D

Once with our Dutch friends (5/6 December St Nicholas), our own Christmas and Boxing Day (which day, incidentally, I had to work one year), New Year's Eve and, finally, Epiphany with our Spanish friends.

Party time! Our Christmas lasted longer than most. :-D

Think the USA is having a very yucky Thanksgiving today.

It’s dark wet and murky here again, been out for some food shopping...the queues at the tills were horrendous, was glad to get back home. Got the Darlinks again later and Ihave to take them to the next town to meet up with V when she finishes school

Another BT scam email, why do they bother?

Rotten night out there.

Just dropped off Grndson 2 at home.

OH was passing bus stop that he'd walked to after school so picked him up dripping wet. He dried himself off, I fed him, played one game of Uno then we went to his to sort out pooch. His Dad came home and we discovered football was still on. :-0

It's so wet I was sure it would have been cancelled ....

Tomorrow is teacher's Xmas shopping day ;-)

A day off for him so we may see him for some part of the day cos his pals at the nearby school still have to be there. :-D
