Thanks for all your kind thoughts. We are in Wellesbourne, about five miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, and the river is the Dene,(which flows in to the Avon) We have good defences on the bungalow, covers on the airbricks and a substantial metal cover for the door. We would need a lot more rain to cause damage to the house fortunately. My new and expensive wood shredder is in the shed, and until I can get to the shed I don't know what damage has been done. I may have to strip it down and use a lot of WD40 on it. The river has subsided a lot, and the garden is now just a huge puddle. If I knew how to photos on here I could post some. At least better weather is forcast. |
