Well, I have no idea where the country is going but it is fascinating to watch the process that is taking us there.

Not surprisingly, I had no idea that these areas of our laws and constitution even existed but am looking forward to exploring them further.

Whatever happens and however vulnerable we may be at present, it has been an enormous kick up the **** for British politics and, indeed, European constitution because, however we leave will have a bearing on how anybody else ever leaves the union.

Parliament has passed statute law such that if the govt is unable to reach an agreement with the EU re brexit by October 19 then the govt must request an extension from the EU AND accept any variation of the request made by Brussels.

There is minimal if any progress on reaching a deal. It is very much in the interests of the EU to accept another extension ( 2 years ext is current flavour in Brussels ).

Although Johnson is not very keen on obeying the law the reality is that he has no choice. If he declines to sign the request then by convention the Cabinet Secretary , a civil servant, would sign.

The main force keeping Johnson in a job right now is the antipathy towards a caretaker government with Corbyn at its head. The "zombie" parliament will effectively be run by Bercow. It has show little enthusiasm for a nodeal brexit.

Oh well that lets me out of any discussion doesn't it? I read The Guardian, and sometimes the Independent online, and I watch YouTube. So of course I must be brainwashed and not able to think for myself...oh and of course I sometimes watch the BBC.... so no hope for me is there !!

One thing all this has proved is that unless the result goes the 'establishment' way, a referendum decision isn't worth the paper it's written on. This whole miserable exercise has been a complete waste of time, evergy and money, when Parliament could have decided in the first place, as they now clearly are going to do anyway, and saved us all this misery!

I feel that a lot of our MPs will feel our anger at the next general election I really cant get my head around the fact that we voted to come out (I did not) but I go along with the majority that silly old men and women in Westminster are not working for us, yes DC is to blame for this and now Boris is to blame for bring the Queen into it it's getting worse by the day
