The root cause of this painful condition is usually a very poor diet including bolting food. C19 workhouses were a bad bet for adults let alone infants. |

I have a death certificate of a 15 month old that died of Mesonteric Disease in 1841 (sadly in the workhouse ). When I Google this it seems to be related to heart disease so doesn't fit with some one that young. Anyone know what it was in the 1800s? |
