Mesonteric Disease

I have a death certificate of a 15 month old that died of Mesonteric Disease in 1841 (sadly in the workhouse ). When I Google this it seems to be related to heart disease so doesn't fit with some one that young. Anyone know what it was in the 1800s?

TThe child could have been born with either holes in the heart or a bockage of bloodflow.

The root cause of this painful condition is usually a very poor diet including bolting food. C19 workhouses were a bad bet for adults let alone infants.
