I understand you problem with "sharing the burden" Liz. We had M-in-L living with us for about 18 months, without a lot of help from B-in-L. Lots of promises though, and of course, criticism. Keep smiling. Bob |

Yes, sorry, council tax. I am still using £.s.d, and refer to the radio as the wireless. However, it is worth it for the kingfisher, hedgehogs, egrets etc., and the pub being at the end of the road. |

Last night, sitting by my river bank with a glass of red wine, four sightings of a kingfisher, and just as it was getting dark a hedgehog wandered in to my garden. Things can't get any better. |

Thanks for all your good wishes. I never in a million years thought that I would own such a large garden AND over 50 feet of river bank. Two egrets in the river yesterday, (it is full of small fish), woodpeckers, kites, buzzards, plus all the usual birds. And the pub is only a couple of minutes away. Grandson has spent the last couple of days strimming and mowing and generally helping out. I have several large mature trees, a silver birch, cherry, weeping willow, sycamore, small leafed maple and a conifer. What have I let myself in for? |

Well, we have made it at last. Our buyers solicitor messed us about until the very last minute, and didn't release the money until the very last minute. We were eventually able to pick up the keys to our new place five minutes before the deadline. It has been the most frustrating day of our lives. Still, we are in now, and now the work begins. |

Emma, how long will it take him to realise that they have gone? And will he go out and buy more? |
