I suspect that a lot of this is Prince Andrew's fault .........

....... it has been strongly reported that he considers that his daughters should be treated differently than they currently are because they are born Royal Princesses (not the only ones as Prince Edward has a daughter and a son, known as Lady and Sir ;-) )

He was campaigning some years ago for them to have security details, and an income from the Royal Purse. The story over here was that prince Charles convinced his mother that they were not in the top 10 of Royal heirs and therefore no detail and no income.

All kudos to the two girls fro getting university degrees and obtaining some form of work, in spite of all that.

Andrew is trying to make sure that Eugenie's marriage over-reaches that of her cousin ........... wonder if all this is really Eugenie's desire or her parents????

I think Charles took a large control of the Windsor family and name a few years back.
His brothers and sister and nephews and nieces are excluded from Windsor photographs now and Royal privileges have been cut back, it seems to me IMO

David ..... that is true. He tried to limit the money paid to those in the direct line of inheritance ..... that means the "top 10"

ie, Queen, Charles, William, George, Charlotte, Louis, Harry, Andrew, Beatrice, Eugenie

But that changes as and when Harry has children, or William has any more.

If you think about it ............ the last 3 didn't really earn money, did they????

However, Charles' action has also cut down the amount of money that has to be paid to them from the public purse!

They have to earn their own way now.

I admire Edward and Sophie ........... they seem to work hard making public appearances (especially Sophie), and their 2 children are kept out of the public as much as possible. They are also not called Princess and Prince ....... I gather that was his wish when they were born.

While I have the greatest respect for our Queen Elizabeth II she is not getting any younger, nor is her heir Charles. As his sons have grown and married and Charles has remarried and he has grandchildren, heirs, he has to put it briefly organised Windsor
1- 6 and in his way put an end (?) to the BS from his siblings and their children with their problems. They don't make a public fuss, but I'd guess he's done it very efficiently. Been firm with the firm.

Andrew is simply trying to get the best for his daughters despite his marriage failing.
They are accustomed from birth to very high standards in just about everything.
What they already have is beyond the dreams of your average citizen. They Are young, we can only wish them well.

It was lovely to see the usually frumpy Eugenie
Looking so lovely
I wish her every happiness

Mind I did laugh
When the wind lifted the nanny's dress above her head
and showed her knickers

But at least she wasn't wearing White
Showing disrespect to the bride

(That fumes me at a Wedding its so bad manners ) :-( :-(

What wore white? and why is it disrespectful?! The Queen wore ice blue, but I didn't notice anyone else in a pale colour!!
It was a gorgeous wedding, the bride looked absolutely beautiful, and they both appeared very much in love. Proper hymns and proper prayers, - perfect!
Why would anyone be SO unkind as to hope it 'pours down''?! Well bad luck! , because it didn't!!!

After losing a war with Cromwell and his Roundheads the last King of
England to claim Divine Right, Charles, was held captive in a house in Shieldield,
Newcastle, less than a mile from where he was born. In 1649 he was taken to London,
tried, found guilty of treason then beheaded.

UNEASY LIES THE HEAD THAT WEARS THE CROWN.

The etiquette of Weddings is
Nobody wears white but the bride
Its classes and very bad manners and Just not done

I noticed a couple of the guests wearing white

Bunnyboo Report 12 Oct 2018 17:36

It's an old fashioned concept that was purely so as not to detract attention from the bride! I don't think that two white outfits in a sea of 800 odd people could or did detract from today's gorgeous bride as I doubt many people noticed or cared!!

David with respect, Charles 1st was born at Fife (Scotland) in 1600 second son of James V1th of Scotland, later the 1st of England. The Scots invaded England on his behalf occupying Newcastle where there a plaque commemorating the event. The Scots handed Charles over to the English. He was held in Hurst Castle then moved to Windsor before being put on trial at Westminster Hall.
The saying 'uneasy lies the head who wears the crown' was in fact a quote referring to medieval monarchs and wasn't applicable to Charles 1st who, despite attempts by Cromwell to unsuccessfully reach a deal with him, was undoubtedly the architect of his own disaster.

Apology for my posts error. I meant a mile from where I was born
(Portland Road Newcastle) near Shieldfield where he is alleged
to have played bowls while captive.

Like most Fathers Andrew was dewey eyed as his newly married daughter left the Church <3

Yes he was David, as you say like most fathers of daughters. When our daughter married, we both, to our surprise felt very emotional. Not so much with our son! I guess sons seem less vulnerable!
