We drove to the local beach and went up on the dunes cos the clouds were dispersing.
But obviously not where the moon was :-(

Took some very atmospheric photos though :-D

And the moon was quite happily shining brightly through our back windows at 3am :-|

Remarkable, as the sun went down the moon came up, and for a very brief

instant the Earth, moon, Mars, Venus and Saturn were in a straight line !!

Yes, I was hoping to catch all that David :-(

There's another chance in January 2019 to see a lunar eclipse.
I did see one in about 1999/2000
I set the alarm to get up to watch :-D
