"Die Lage ist wie immer: Alles Mist! "

Ah Rollo it can't be that bad, and not the nicest way of putting it.

Caroline

Caroline Report 26 Mar 2018 00:02

LOL that's a blast from the past :-D

Caroline Report 26 Mar 2018 10:32

So Rollo when exactly is this course? You said something about this weekend but I can't see it being on Friday or Sunday so Saturday maybe?

Kay????

Kay???? Report 26 Mar 2018 12:10

Quite why what vehilce comes into it is a mystery as no driving is involved as its all narative class based and you can turn up on a bike.! if you choose, also any trip to MOD Bovington wasted as no courses even take place there.!

plus to be offered the course by the police.

****You have admitted to being the driver of the vehicle at the time of the alleged offence and returned the documentation within the 28 day period calculated from the date the notice was sent to you.****
No more than 12 weeks have elapsed since the date of the alleged offence.
There were no further offences committed at the time of the alleged offence.
You have not attended a speed awareness course within the 3 years prior to the current offence.

Oh,btw they hold classes in Bournmouth at the library.

They dont do them on a Saturday or Sunday.

I should really report the post that contains swearing but the translation is just so funny I am more than happy to leave it on public display so more people can have a laugh :-D :-D :-D :-D

Has anyone been arrested yet of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs while 'in charge' of a driver-less vehicle? :-S

Caroline

Caroline Report 26 Mar 2018 14:01

Will be interesting to see what happens with the recent death by driverless car in America recently.

As for the swearing it does depend on how you translate it but either way not the nicest way of putting your view across. My mother always said ignorant people swear......bu&*red if I know why :-D

Dermot Report 26 Mar 2018 14:03

'Swearing' comes from the frustration in lacking sufficient verbal dexterity.

So said our teachers in the mid-1960s. ;-)

Caroline

Caroline Report 26 Mar 2018 14:09

But does it count if you do it in another language? :-S

Dermot

Dermot Report 26 Mar 2018 14:23

'Going to confession' - a well-established Catholic practice/requirement often caused confusion & frustration to the poor Priest if his grasp of the Irish language wasn't up to scratch.

On knowing his unfortunate language position, we ploughed on regardless using the Gaelic.

Great light-hearted entertainment! ;-)

Our teachers said the same, Dermot, and in the 50s they would have almost scalped you alive for swearing.

Not sure that Rollo swore though, unless you think crap is a swear word. He could have used worse, in my opinion - especially the word my Mum hated, sh*t ..... oops, almost used it there. :-D :-D :-D

The English language contains some beautiful descriptive words & phrases.

A pity not to use the multitude of unemployed expressions.

Caroline

Caroline Report 26 Mar 2018 15:27

If you google it some of the translations has the F word so slightly less acceptable maybe??

Rolls Royce had intended to call one of their models a Silver Mist until it was pointed out to them that they would not sell many in Germany.

Maybe that is the model Rollo's mate owns!

King George V Rd Bovington midweek
three hours

I am going on holiday to France anyway there are cheap return flights from Strasbourg.

The reason that I do not care about potential points is that my ins broker does not count 1 speeding AND when I convert back to a French licence they will strip off UK points anyway.

Friend with the Roller cannot make the date anyway so instead I will be parking outside the SAC venue in a 1961 Citroen 2CV van. Purrfek.

Of course it might snow again.

"They're trying to kill me," Yossarian told him calmly.
"No one's trying to kill you," Clevinger cried.
"Then why are they shooting at me?" Yossarian asked.
"They're shooting at everyone," Clevinger answered. "They're trying to kill everyone."
"And what difference does that make?""

Caroline Report 26 Mar 2018 17:56

So not totally messing up Easter then?

You never did say in the other thread how you managed to retrieve your Jag during the snowstorm?

Still don't really see what difference it makes what you drive in to get there!
