Well I think the tribute to Brucie was quite fitting. Lots of clips of him, lovely comments from the dancers, judges and compares, and a group dance at the end.

I think the pairing up was good. I hope that Anton gets a few dances in with Ruth. I do trust she is not as bad as Mrs Ironing Board! Also I had forgotten dear little AJ the professional dancer! He still only looks about 12!!

My Joe cut quite a dash in his spangles, so I am rooting for him this year.

Now a break of 2 weeks, until the show starts proper.

I liked the tribute - poor Tess was very upset again. I think they need to get the singers microphone working if they are going to place them on the dance floor. The sound was very poor

I thought Anton was going to get the one with the poison again this year - but no he got Ruth. Dont think he will be in as long as last year.

Felt very sorry for Kevin - he is going nowhere fast .

Rooting for Richard this year - trouble is you only get 3 votes and i have too many I like this time. Its going to have be a a bit of pick and mix until it all gets started & people drop out.

Quite a mixed bag this year, always surprising when someone you think will be good turns out to be rubbish, and then there is the one that amazes you!

I was willing Susan Calman on, because she was so pleased to be on Strictly and dancing with Kevin! <3

I was amazed at Debbie McGee. What a trouper, she is the Lesley Joseph of this year. Fabulous legs too. Good on you girl.

I loved Brendan in his tails. He looked so elegant.

Anton did what Anton does best. Self depreciation. :-)

Roll on next week when the eliminations begin and the contest starts hotting up.
