Should I start the thread again tomorrow Fly? I don't want Mersey to think I've taken it over but if she's not on here I don't mind starting it as I'm up the earliest. I was hoping that Mersey would come on tonight and then I'd know she was back. |

My grandad was born in Maltby not sure they strayed far :-) we have none that far south that i know of :-) |

Yes and then I married a man with a foreign name - it's Swedish and find out his maternal gt grandparents were - male Dutch - female German. If that wasn't bad enough he's a true cockney as he was born in Poplar - his parents did go to live in Kent when he was a few months old though. |

Not with such a common name. My gt gt gt grandfather born about 1788 was born in Dudley and now I'm stuck because John Lloyd is a common name even in Dudley. |

Trouble is dad always told us about our Welsh side and now when I come in contact with others theyve also heard the same tale. I believe it, it's just out of reach but I really don't fancy trying to find our Lloyds amongst all the others in Wales :-D |
