in the Portuguese court.

Snr Goncalo Amaral won his appeal against the McCann case and his 500,000 Euro compensation payment to them has been negated.

Those of us who have supported him over these years that have all but destroyed him for having the courage to speak his mind are delighted.

Okay not saying the parents were innocent if nothing else they're guilty of being naff self centered parents who will regret their decision for the rest of their lives......what do you think happened if you're behind the detective ?

JoyBoroAngel

JoyBoroAngel Report 31 Jan 2017 20:23

I would not like to speculate what happened to Madeline
But as she is ward of court
I do think the Courts should Mange the Find Madeline Fund
It was Put in Place to Find this little girl
Not to pay the McCann's mortgage, holidays, For suing people
paying legal fees or For hangers on :-( :-(

And lets face it at least the Policeman looked for her unlike her Parent

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 31 Jan 2017 20:54

The policeman made a lot of money from the case and likely to get even more if the book goes on sale again.

There is going to be an appeal against the judgement according to the BBC.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-36088240

I don't think policemen anywhere should be allowed to make money from cases they covered. I think it's immoral.

Guinevere Have you read his book ????
I have Its really good to be honest ;-) ;-)

Lots of Policemen in this Country have made money by writing books

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 31 Jan 2017 21:05

I wouldn't want to put more money in his greedy pockets. I dislike speculation and gossip.

JoyBoroAngel

JoyBoroAngel Report 31 Jan 2017 21:08

I couldn't put it down
I read his book for free on the internet

Not a its everybody else's fault but ours like Kates book ;-)

The notification of an appeal was after the last time they lost in April 2016 not today.

The book written by Snr Amaral is FREE on the www unlike the book Kate McCann penned which was NOT.

The McCann lawyers arranged to have his booked taken from the book sellers and even after they were ordered to return them via the court - they did not.

His conclusions were accepted by the UK police and have not been disproved in any way, shape or form.

Well said Sue :-D :-D

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 31 Jan 2017 21:18

I find all speculation about the disappearance of Madeleine in very poor taste. Amateur detectives are swapping conspiracy theories on some truly awful web pages.

His book is pure speculation by a man sacked from his job. He's laughing all the way to the bank now, I expect. Not a penny from me to add to the £344,000 he already has. And the rest he will get if the book is unbanned.

As I said, it's immoral for ex policemen to make money from cases they investigated.

O I find It's immoral for parents to leave small children unattended while they eat and drink with there friends in a bar away from the apartment, but hey ho,

The man is financially destitute, why do you think people were donating money to his defence fund?

His evidence is based on the official cartas rogatorias both Portuguese and UK at the time.

Martin Grimes' report, the DNA matches which were analysed in the UK.

I personally wouldn't consider anyone's opinion on this sad case unless they had actually read as many official files as possible from the 1000s published.

The same applies to their audited accounts (again freely available) which make very interesting reading.

JoyBoroAngel Report 31 Jan 2017 21:28

Guinevere
You have his book so wrong ;-)

Caroline

Caroline Report 31 Jan 2017 21:51

The crime scene wasn't secured correctly nor the hire car, there were so many mistakes that mean a conviction will never happen. Should he profit from that ? There is no way he's getting nothing from the book even if just indirectly via TV appearances etc.
The parents almost certainly didn't kill her, but as I said before will always regret being stupid.

JoyBoroAngel

JoyBoroAngel Report 31 Jan 2017 21:55

The crime scene wasn't secured
because the McCann's them selves
Had every Tom Dick and Harry Traipsing through the apartment
long before they called the police
The parents hindered the investigation numerous times

They notified the Media before they called the police
I find that strange

I cant say if the Parents did it or not I wasn't there
But I do know
If they had not left the children on their own it would not of happened :-( :-(

Really the parents are at fault for that ??

Caroline

Caroline Report 31 Jan 2017 22:02

I think if my kid was missing sure I'd be getting people to help look for them...that's the real world.....wrong thing to do we know but you'd panic.....on TV you realise what's happened and you stop anyone entering until the police turn up.
