This is advance warning of the next Sheffield meet. It is also going to be a Wend memorial meet as it will be a year on the 17th. :-(

As before the meet on the 17th will be at The Old Queens Head, Pond St.

For weekenders/ overnighters we will be booking into the Ibis Hotel on Shude Hill. At the moment it is £39 a night.

I have had to sort my dates early because OH has to book his holiday dates and also I need to try and liaise with a Texan who might join us this year :-D.

The reason for choice of date is obvious and we will be raising a glass to our Wend who was very much part of the Sheffield meets,

Stray there is underground Parking at the travel-lodge across the road that you can use and Ibis recommend. and of course you were added :-D

Time to give a nudge i think.
Lea and friend Kate have booked their time off for June. We are doing the Friday to Monday of course.
Off to Cuba first though in March,two weeks of sunshine and sea I hope.
Cant wait to go and have a good relax,wonder if they do a good glass of *water*,like The Old Queens does :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Not sure about this one, much as I'd love to be there. Our usual cottage doesn't seem to be available and with oh's father so unwell not sure I can get o.h. to holiday so far away. Will have to see what I can sort out, plenty of time atm

Im guna book out hotel payday, get it out the way as i have things to sort out for mexico yet, lol,

we be coming friday after work, probs leave after lunch sunday, its going to be so much easier coming in betty than the bus, lol,

Time to uppppp this as it´s getting nearer. can´t believe how quickly time has gone, but then they say the older you get the quicker it goes.

For those staying overnight ...on the Friday 16th it´s a quiet :-0 celebration meal to the life of our Wend.
On the Saturday 17th at the actual meet we will raise a glass and a minutes silence to a friend we loved and lost far too young.
If you are not attending you can still join in the toast, will post the time later.

So lets add some more names up there :-D

K. has booked two weeks off work for the appropriate time, but not sure if we will be booking our hols in the area. It depends on how things are with his dad in the care home and also on K's cataract ops.

Hopefully I can be there again, even if only on the Saturday.
