Grand dtr drinks the teas but she loves mint and lemon teas.

This week I bought her a pack of Pukk* Three Mint teabags from Sainsbs. - peppermint, spearmint and field mint combined. I hope she likes it when she comes. <3 :-D

I only drink cold teas and Watermelon & Coconut is my fave.

Normally, I am a hot coffee and hot chocolate drinker.

Morning all :-D :-D :-D :-D <3 <3 <3 <3

I've had a pj morning, doing me crafty bits :-D

I love Lady Grey tea, and spiced chai - milk but no sugar. My only coffee of the day is a very strong one first thing, usually brought to me in bed by J - I've got him well trained :-D ;-)

Joy - I passed 4 pubs in Gosforth yesterday and they were very quiet and when I arrived at Wetherspoons "The Job Bulman" the place was packed with diners and drinkers. They do not have a chef's special on every day but when they do it attracts customers. Did you know you can buy a pint of beer for less than £2. The other week they had Guinness on special offer at £1.29 a pint while stocks last.

Morning GP :-D :-D <3 <3

Fish and chips are at least 3 times the price in pubs around here :-0

Time I moved back up to Tyneside ;-)

Well, I'd better go and get ready for a pricey bar meal - see you all later :-D <3

You have enlightened me, GP. I have no idea what beers, lagers, stouts cost because I don't drink them. £1.29 for a pint of Guinness sounds cheap though so it may be that the food is not subsidised by the booze unless Wetherspoons suppliers are giving really good deals.

I've just googled and see we still have two Wetherspoons here so there used to be three. I have not found any prices online for here but I only quickly checked what we had. The Bishops Mill is the big one, The Water House is more like a pub unless they've taken over first and second floor space on either side.

We have a good variety of eateries in Durham though and we have tried a fair view of them. :-D

Lyn, we regularly meet at a hotel outside Durham (in the country) and the price of fish, chips/mash and mushies was £10.99 when last we met (November).

I think it's easier for a big chain to have lower prices, especially in towns. :-0
