Good Evening Everyone :-) :-) <3
Well, I WATCHED THE AUSTRALIA v WALES GAME AGAIN TODAY, because I miss quite a lot of the action while I am trying to type! :-(
AND GUESS WHAT?? :-S :-S
WALES STILL LOST! :-0 :-0 :-0 ;-)
Dan Biggar STILL missed his first Goal of the World Cup!:-0 George North STILL did not manage to get that ball down for a Try! :-0 and Alex Cuthbert STILL got sent off! :-S :-S ;-) ;-) :-D :-D
Never mind! Wales is through anyway, but instead of Scotland (not that I'm underestimating Scotland by any means, as they have really upped their game this year! :-)) ... WE HAVE TO PLAY THE SPRINGBOKS :-(
Did anyone else notice the blunder of one the ITV Commentators, when he said after the match that Wales would be playing SCOTLAND? :-S That's the sack for him!;-) :-D :-D :-D
HAVING SEEN THE AUSTRALIA / WALES GAME AGAIN, I MUST SAY THAT I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH OUR WALES BOYS!
In my opinion (and I have to admit that I am still very much learning the game) the final score did NOT reflect how well Wales played!
They attacked and attacked the Australian Try line. But the Aussies proved to be a very strong team defensively, even when they were down to just 13 players, having lost 2 to the Sinbin! And they had to be, the amount of time Wales spent throwing themselves at them, in a desperate attempt for that elusive try!
Also a reflection of the strength of both teams defensive play, was the fact that..... ......THE ONLY SCORES ON THE BOARD WERE FROM PENALTY GOALS!
I don't know what that has to say about their discipline, however! :-S :-D
Wales face The Springboks in the first game of the Quarter Finals, on Saturday, October 17th...
SOUTH AFRICA v WALES <3 .... Kick Off 4.00pm
LIVE TV: ITV1/ ITV1 Wales (English) S4C (Welsh)
LIVE RADIO: BBC Radio Wales (English) BBC Radio Cymru (Welsh) BBC Radio 5 Live

RUGBY 'ROUND THE WORLD ...... IRELAND
PAUL O'CONNELL INJURED OUT!
Ireland's Captain, Paul O'Connell, has been ruled out of the rest of the Rugby World Cup!:-(
Lock Paul, who will be 36 next Tuesday, sustained a "SIGNIFICANT HAMSTRING INJURY" during their last pool game v France on Sunday. Paul spent the night in hospital, and has now flown back home to Cork. He will need to undergo surgery.
This, effectively, will mean the END of Paul O'Connell's International Playing Career. Paul was retiring from the Irish Team after the Rugby World Cup.
JAMIE HEASLIP will be taking over the Irish Captaincy from Paul.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/34516393 (this article includes video clips)
PETER O'MAHONEY ALSO OUT!
Ireland Back Row, Peter O'Mahoney, 26, was also injured during that France v Ireland game. He has sustained KNEE LIGAMENT DAMAGE. He too has now been ruled out of any further games for Ireland in the Rugby World Cup.
Peter will be replaced by RHYS RUDDOCK in the Squad.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/34505455
JONATHAN SEXTON
Ireland's Fly-Half and Kicker, Johnny Sexton, was another player that was injured off the pitch, during the game that spelled out the end of the RWC for Paul and Peter.
Johnny's future in this Rugby World Cup is now also in question, following a GROIN INJURY. His future in the competition will depend on the outcome of his scan.
JEM & ALL THE RUGBY GANG ON RADIO JEM (this thread :-D).... .... WISH PETER, PAUL & JOHNNY (that sounds like an Irish vocal group ;-) :-D)
A COMPLETE RETURN TO FITNESS :-) :-) :-)
PAUL O'CONNELL'S FUTURE
We also would like to wish PAUL O'CONNELL a very happy retirement from International Rugby, and all the very best for his future.
Paul has been signed to the FRENCH CLUB TOULON for the remainder of his rugby playing career. Here he will be playing alongside WALES Favourite LEIGH HALFPENNY(depending on both these players recovery from injury).
All of us at Radio Jem hope both of these incredible rugby players will be fit to carry on with their careers soon! :-) :-) :-)

.... MORE FROM IRELAND
SEAN O'BRIEN CITED!
Ireland Flanker, Sean O'Brien, has been cited, following an incident during the France v Ireland game last Sunday, which was missed by Referee Nigel Owens.
Sean O'Brien, who was proclaimed Man Of The Match at the end of Ireland's 24-9 victory over France, is accused of "PUNCHING" France Lock PASCAL PAPE.
He was due to go before a disciplinary committee EDITED BACK AGAIN as I was right the first time! :-|!- Today (Tues 13th) If he has been found guilty, he could have a 2 week suspension.
This will cause a huge headache for Ireland's Head Coach JOE SCHMIDT. He has already lost one Flanker, PETER O'MAHONEY for the rest of the RWC, due to injury during that game!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/34511312
WE SHALL AWAIT NEWS OF THE OUTCOME OF SEAN O'BRIEN'S DISCIPLINARY MEETING!

WALES LATEST NEWS
ELI WALKER RECALLED
23 year old Winger, Eli Walker, has been recalled to the Wales RWC Squad to replace the injured LIAM WILLIAMS.
Eli, originally part of the Wales RWC Training squad was "culled" when the squad had to be reduced to 31 players. He was one of the players brought back to replace injured players.
Then, Eli sustained a hamstring injury while playing for his club, and so his place in the Wales RWC Squad 2015 was lost again.
Following the recent injury shocker- Liam Williams being ruled out of the rest of the World Cup with a foot injury- Eli has been recalled yet again.
However, HE IS STILL NOT FULLY FIT, and so will not be playing in the Wales Team v The South African Springboks in the first RWC Quarter Finals game on Saturday.

MIKE ROSS & JONNY GRAY LATEST NEWS
Scotland are to make a "ROBUST APPEAL" over the Mike Ross and Jonny Gray bans that have brought the pair's Rugby World Cup participation to an end.
Scotland are NOT contesting the guilty verdict, rather, the LENGTH of the bans.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/34527131
AUSTRALIAN COACH MICHAEL CHEIKA has expressed sympathy for the Scottish players' predicament. Scotland will face Australia without the two men in the 4th of the RWC Quarter Finals on Sunday.
Ex-Wales International Player, now BBC Sports Commentator and S4C Rugby Chat Show host JONATHAN DAVIES, has described the tournament's disciplinary hearings as "A DISGRACE".
Personally, I think players SHOULD have sanctions placed upon them, IF DANGEROUS PLAY IS PROVEN, as the risks of serious injuries to players must be kept to a minimum.
