At last I have managed to renew my membership, so I can post on here and say how sad I am at the death of our dear Joyce.

The news came as a big shock when I responded to Sheila's message yesterday evening, I had slept most of the day due to fatigue after Mother's Day out.

I have been in touch with Jan, he says he feels empty inside, and indeed, he has looked after Joyce for a long time, life will be so very different for him now.

I can't say anymore now, I am too upset to type.

Rest in peace Joyce, I like to think you will be reunited with your Julie, our Caz and Deanna and all your loved ones gone ahead, especially your Dad.

Only just seen this as I can only get on occasionally when we go up to the centre as no Wifi in the apartment where we are. I am so sorry to hear about Joyce, I shall miss hdr PMs. She was always so good making collections for everyone in the past and has been so brave since her stroke. RIP Joyce, and my condolences Jan.

I phoned Flying Doctor to let her know this sad news, as I didn't want her reading this thread and having a shock. She is very poorly herself, but asked me to say how sad she is to know Dutch is no longer with us, and sends her condolences to Jan and to Joyce's family in the U.K.

Joyce and Elaine had a good chinwag on the phone a few weeks ago which I am sure cheered them both and will be nice for Elaine to remember.

You touched so many lives Joyce, making friends whereever you went.
