BarbinSGlos Report 13 Mar 2015 14:20

are you having hospital transport ??????

OneFootInTheGrave

OneFootInTheGrave Report 13 Mar 2015 14:25

Barbs <3 no, I have to arrange my own transport, £30 each way is what I have to fork out each time I go up there :-(

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 13 Mar 2015 14:29

crikey thats a lot to pay out. We have a Community transport company run by the council here in S.Glos that one can join for about £15 a year, lots of people round here use it and find it very helpful to get to all sorts of places. I think that might be something we shall be looking at in the future !

OneFoot why no hospital transport :-0

OneFootInTheGrave

OneFootInTheGrave Report 13 Mar 2015 14:40

Fly <3 because I have a small private pension that takes me just above the threshold to be eligible for hospital transport.

OneFootInTheGrave

OneFootInTheGrave Report 13 Mar 2015 14:44

Now! if I was an idle layabout who had never done a days work in my life I would get all the help available :-D

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 13 Mar 2015 14:50

Our Community Matron said we can get the doctor to arrange transport for us in the future and we have no benefits :-S :-S

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 13 Mar 2015 14:51

OneFootInTheGrave

OneFootInTheGrave Report 13 Mar 2015 15:03

I can do without all the hassle of hospital transport not least the time factor where if you are the last to get dropped off you go on a grand tour of outer London :-S

Fly

Fly Report 13 Mar 2015 15:05

OneFoot you could also ask at the cash office at the hospital and see if you can claim your taxi fare back there <3

Fly

Fly Report 13 Mar 2015 15:07

It can take a long time OneFoot and that is if they remember to pick you up to go home :-0

OneFootInTheGrave

OneFootInTheGrave Report 13 Mar 2015 15:15

Fly <3 I did ask and as I said earlier I am just above the threshold to be eligible for help with transport costs - all I want is to get there and back home in the quickest time possible and if that has to be at my own expense then sobeit ;-).
