AND HERE TO OPEN TODAY'S RUGBY IS RADIO JEM's THEME SONG
YMA O HYD (Still here) ....... DAFYDD IWAN
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjFHqMxLGjg
The chorus translates to "still here! we are still here, despite everyone and everything.... we are still here!"
AND THOSE WORDS ARE SO APT FOR WALES TODAY!
For Welsh speakers (or readers, cos some of us may not understand it all but can read it)
YMA O HYD
Dwyt ti'm yn cofio Macsen, Does neb yn ei nabod o; Mae mil a chwe chant o flynyddoedd Yn amser rhy hir I'r co'; Pan aeth Magnus Maximus o Gymru Yn y flwyddyn tri-chant-wyth-tri, A'n gadael yn genedl gyfan A heddiw: wele ni!
[Chorus:] Ry'n ni yma o hyd, Ry'n ni yma o hyd, Er gwaetha pawb a phopeth, Er gwaetha pawb a phopeth Ry'n ni yma o hyd. Ry'n ni yma o hyd, Er gwaetha pawb a phopeth, Er gwaetha pawb a phopeth Ry'n ni yma o hyd.
Chwythed y gwynt o'r Dwyrain, Rhued y storm o'r mor, Hollted y mellt yr wybren A gwaedded y daran encore Llifed dagrau'r gwangalon A llyfed y taeog y llawr Er dued yw'are fagddu o'n cwmpas Ry'n ni'n barod am doriad y wawr!
[Chorus:]
Cofiwn I Facsen Wledig Adael ein gwlad yn un darn A bloeddiwn gerbron y gwledydd 'Mi fyddwn yma tan Ddydd y Farn! ' Er gwaetha pob Dic Sion Dafydd, Er gwaetha 'r hen Fagi a'i chriw Byddwn yma hyd ddiwedd amser A bydd yr iaith Gymraeg yn fyw!
[Chorus:]

When you think of Wales, you think of great singing :-) :-) :-)
When you think of Great Welsh singing, you think of Welsh Male Voice Choirs! <3
This Male Voice Choir has a particular place in the heart of our lovely ANN CARDIFF.
Ann's late husband was a lifelong member of this great choir.
So here, especially for our Ann... ... is PENDYRUS MALE VOICE CHOIR ... at the NATIONAL EISTEDDFOD 2012
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZjT3xu4grw
"A performance given by Pendyrus Male Choir in the 2012 National Eisteddfod. The three pieces are Bonjour Mon Coeur by Di Lasso, Cennin Aur by Mansel Thomas and Bywyd Y Bugail by Brian Hughes. Conducted by Stewart Roberts and Accompanied by Gavin Parry"

Am limbering up. Had lunch and a cup of tea. Now got my bottle of pop at the ready for refreshment without missing anything. :-D
I am dressed appropriately as I'm in purple so am totally neutral and can shout for whoever is winning. Purple is the colour for mourning in many cultures so both eventualities covered. :-(
I am watching Palace and QPR at the moment so I can get into the most comfortable position for the rugby.
Think I'll be ready by 16.30 (Cyprus time - UK 14.30). Didn't want to leave it any longer as I hate rushing about :-D
Oh! and am tuned in to Radio Jem :-D <3

SPORT WALES On last night’s “Sport Wales” Presenter and Sports Interviewer DOT DAVIES asks some fun questions to 3 of our Wales Stars... ..... MIKE PHILLIPS, LEIGH HALFPENNY and JONATHAN DAVIES (the 2nd)
Dot asks: Who would you like to play YOU in a film?
MIKE: COLIN FARRELL LEIGH: MARK WAHLBERG JON: MATT DAMON
Who is the most FAMOUS PERSON that you have met?
MIKE: NELSON MANDELA JON: THE QUEEN
Who do you think is the MOST WELL DRESSED MAN in the squad? MIKE: ME!! :-P :-P
If you were a BISCUIT what would you be?
LEIGH: A Chocolate Digestive JON: A Custard Cream MIKE: A Hob Nob!
IF YOU WEREN’T A PROFESSIONAL RUGBY PLAYER, what would be your JOB?
JON: Behind the bar at my parents pub, or ideally a PROFESSIONAL GOLFER! MIKE: I’D BE SCR*W*D THEN! :-0 :-D
WHO IS THE BEST DANCER IN THE WALES SQUAD?
MIKE: DAN LYDIATE JON: Jon agrees. “Dan Lydiate does a robot pretty well!”

WHO SAY’S HIS BIOGRAPHY WOULD BE ENTITLED “OVERRATED”?
At this our Mikey bursts into fits of laughter and declares ..... “RHYS WEBB!”:-0 :-0 :-D :-D :-D
This is because Rhys Webb has taken over from Mike as Wales’ First Choice Scrum-Half!
