Emma - I have spoke to my son in law and he has tried it on his Ipod.
Scroll your screen until the icons appear then click on Settings then click on General
then Text Size.

Emma - I think you are right. Genes appears to be the problem so enlarging the screen with your fingers may be the only answer.
