We have a season ticket, but haven't used it so much this year.

Gower is lovely too.

Then there's Tenby.
We have beautiful countryside for walking too. And castles.

Thats so sad Jems......have to say Chester Zoo is a lovely place and changes every time I have gone.....a great day out......

Not really big ones.

There's Folly Foot near Tenby, which used to be quite small, and more for smaller children. They have lions now though, according to the latest adverts.

Bristol Zoo is probably the nearest large zoo.
We went there when my daughter was about 10 months old and I got quite worried about a Polar Bear that was behaving oddly. Later it was on the news that that polar bear had gone mad cos of it's living conditions.

I prefer more open places, like Longleat.

I would love to go to Longleat Jems...do you not have any nice zoo's around where you live then :-)

I haven't been to a zoo for ages.

We went to Longleat on the coach with daughter and our 3 eldest Grandchildren when they were very little, but we weren't actually there for long enough. Coach left at 4 and we didn't arrive until half way through the morning.

Jems we all loved it thanks, especially the boys and little MM.....I was shattered we walked for miles,I loved the eleflumps and the monkeys ohhh and the peng pengs as the little one called them <3 <3

When I was 16 I worked in an office in a factory in the country. One lunchtime, my friend from the next office and I decided to go for a walk.

We were bored and decided to start dancing about and singing "Hey Big Spender" as you do while walking in the country aged 16 :-S :-S :-S :-S

The cows in the nearby farmer's field all came running over and stood in a row by the fence watching us intently :-D :-D :-D We fell about laughing!
